The Wings Rhythmic Gymnastics Easter Camp received a visit from an RSA (Road Safety Authority) road safety education team member that delivered activities that blended gymnastic skills and physical movement along with road safety elements. This visit was part of RSA's commitment to bringing road safety to all communities nationwide through their education service.
The camp participants learned about walking, cycling, being a passenger, urban and rural transport issues and practising safe road behaviour through obstacle courses, games and quizzes. The participants also received a road safety gift bag with high-visibility accessories, pens, and key rings.
The visit by the RSA added value to the Easter Camp and gave a new and refreshing focus to participants. The road safety section lasted an hour and was delivered by Nicola Walsh.
