The session then moved into a dynamic warm-up, starting with a fun game led by coach Dzeneta, followed by a series of drills including bunny hops, side bunny hops, relevé walks, lunges, and wheelbarrow walks. While waiting their turn, the children engaged in toe touches, shoulder stretches, and butterfly stretches.
After a thorough warm-up, a stretching session focusing on back and front support, box splits, and lateral stretches was led too ensure cartwheels were performed safely and that gymnast learn key stretched to continue to improve the amplitude of their cartwheels
.
The children then enjoyed a 20-minute snack break, a chance to refuel and chat with their fellow gymnasts.
The afternoon was dedicated to cartwheel practice, divided into three experience levels: complete beginners, medium, and advanced. Coaches coach James, coach Dzeneta and coach Enya rotated between the groups, providing individualised support and guidance.

The final hour saw the children put their newfound skills to the test with cartwheel spotting, and a cool-down session.
The workshop concluded with valuable tips on how to practice cartwheels at home.
The workshop was a resounding success, with the children demonstrating remarkable progress and enthusiasm throughout the day. Wings Rhythmic Gymnastics Club is proud of all the participants for their hard work and dedication.
